Selim Çetinel’s entrepreneurial background spans construction and real estate development, post-earthquake reconstruction, urban regeneration, advanced agricultural technologies, research collaboration and strategic investment transactions.
Selim Çetinel’s entrepreneurial experience in construction began in 1998 with the development and delivery of his first residential project in Istanbul.
Following the 1999 earthquakes and initial structural strengthening work in Istanbul, activities expanded to Düzce. Residential reconstruction projects were designed and delivered across Düzce and surrounding villages, including standard housing projects approved by the relevant public authorities for buildings affected at varying levels of damage.
During this period, more than 700 residential units were delivered through the company organisation, alongside structural strengthening, ground improvement and other engineering works.
Ground improvement works for the Adapazarı Regional Directorate of Forestry building were among the projects undertaken during this period.
Agrotech’s KAP disclosure dated 11 December 2025 refers to Selim Çetinel’s work on industrial hemp in the Netherlands since 2001.
From 2014, Selim Çetinel’s construction activities increasingly focused on urban regeneration projects on Istanbul’s Asian side, covering project development, stakeholder coordination, redevelopment planning and delivery of replacement buildings on sites occupied by ageing structures.
On 13 May 2020, Selim Çetinel signed the Industrial Hemp Project cooperation protocol between Yozgat Bozok University and CBD Group on behalf of CBD Group.
